U.W. Fisheries Research Comes to North Beach
The University of Washington School of Aquatic and Fishery Sciences will be conducting a research project involving fish sampling here at North Beach. They will be here once a week alternating every other week the use of nets one week and snorkeling the other. The project will continue into August and there will be postings on the North Beach Web site (www.northbeachclub.net) of their schedule in advance as they provide it. I believe the impact on the Beach and to our members will be minimal and that the work they are doing is valuable to the Puget Sound environment and North Beach. A copy of their report will be made available upon the completion of the project.
